When shopping for a vaporizer, some people won’t settle for anything less that the newest, most technologically advanced (and often times most expensive) unit on the market. Others, however, may not be totally sold on the whole “vaporizing” trend, or just not have hundreds of dollars to shell out, and want to invest in something a little more economical.

Whatever the case, the misconception exists that in order to get a vaporizer that performs well, you have to spend a ton of money, which is simply not the case. That being said, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite herbal vaporizers that offer a ton of bang, for not a lot of buck.

CLOUD PEN CHLORIS - $99 (MSRP)

Cloud Pen, typically known for their smaller wax and herb pens, recently debuted their first full-sized portable vaporizer, the Chloris. As the vaporizer industry continues to grow, we’re seeing a lot of “copy cat” units, which are seemingly identical except for the logo and slight color variances. With that said, the Chloris bears a striking resemblance to the Wulf Vape SX and the K-Vape Micro-DX. So why does Cloud Pen’s version make our list but the others don’t? We’ll, while the Wulf and K-Vape versions retail for just under $200, the Chloris retails for just $99.

We’re not sure how the others justify their extreme markup, but one thing is for sure, the Chloris is a steal at under $100. Featuring the ability be set to any temperature between 350°-430°F, this vape gives you the highest level of heat control out of any vaporizer on our list. In addition, the Chloris’ sleek and sexy design doesn’t just look good, but it travels well, being one of the smallest portables of it’s kind. In addition, a digital OLED display and powerful 2200mAh lithium-polymer battery are features you seldom see on a handheld unit at it’s price point.

We recommend purchasing the Chloris from our preferred retailer. They ship for free and include additional goodies at no extra charge.

MAGIC FLIGHT LAUNCH BOX – $85

While this isn’t necessarily a ranking of the top vaporizers under $100, if it was, the MFLB would win hands down. If you’re at all familiar with vaporizers, you’ve undoubtedly heard the name Magic Flight. The Launch Box has a massive fan following, and for good reason. Not only is it one of the most affordable vaporizers on the market, it’s also incredibly simple to use and perhaps the most portable unit around.

What’s unique about the MFLB, aside from it’s unmistakable aesthetics, is that its simplistic functionality doesn’t just appeal to beginners who may be intimidated by the sometimes daunting technology that goes along with vaporizing. Instead, the allure stretches to seasoned veterans of vaporization who value simplicity, and who have been around long enough to know that you can’t always buy into the hype of all the new, “must-have” units powered by big marketing campaigns.

You can purchase the MFLB from this trusted retailer. They will throw in a Magic Flight accessory of your choice at no additional cost. Or, it’s also available from this authorized seller whom we also recommend.

PUFFiT 2 – $99 (MSRP)

We’ll be the first to admit that we weren’t so stoked on the original PUFFiT (or the PUFFiT X for that matter), but the most recent incarnation of the “inhaler vaporizer” really surprised us. While the concept of the PUFFiT was always cool, the performance and certain design flaws of the original always left a little to be desired. When it came time to go back to the drawing board, Discreet Vape, manufacturer of the PUFFiT, really listened to consumer feedback on how to improve the unit.

Aside from being arguably the most discreet vaporizer on the market (the thing looks exactly like an actual inhaler, improvements to the heating chamber (now modular and independent from the herb chamber) and extended battery life make the ’2′ far more functional than its predecessor. One of it’s coolest features is the haptic feedback system which allows you to keep the PUFFiT in your pocket as it heats, only needing to pull it out to take a puff once the vibration indicates the optimal temperature has been reached.

We found this trusted retailer to have the lowest price on the PUFFiT 2.

EASY VAPE 5 – $50

As the only desktop vaporizer on our list, the Easy Vape 5 is a bit of a throwback to the days of old school whip-style units. We’re always taught to respect the classics, and we definitely have love for the original generation of vapes. They serve their purpose, and are great for folks who want to get into vaporizing, but don’t want to deal with a learning curve. As the old adage goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” However, just because it ain’t broke, doesn’t mean you cant improve on it. That’s exactly what the Easy Vape 5 does.

While the whip-style vapes of the past typically featured wooden housing and rotary dial temperature adjustment, the Easy Vape 5 has a much more modern look and feel to it. Aside from its glossy paint job, the ’5′ also features precise temperature control by way of +/- buttons. In addition, the large LCD digital display really gives the Easy Vape 5 a 21st century vibe. Again, you won’t find a whole lot of fancy bells and whistles here, but if you’re looking for something simple and cost effective, look no further.

The Easy Vape 5 retails for around $80, but we found it on this trusted retailer’s site for way less.

K-VAPE – $99 (MSRP)

OK. Let’s be real. The K-Vape is more or less identical to a lot of other portable herbal vaporizers on the market. If you put the K-Vape, G Pro, Pulsar Lux, and VC Toke side by side, the only difference between them would be their respective logos. It’s essentially just a re-branded unit. So if there’s nothing unique about it, then why did we include in on this list? The answer to that question is simple: Lifetime warranty.

Considering the warranty on similar units is typically one year, the fact that KandyPens offers a lifetime warranty on the K-Vape is one of those things in life we’re simply not going to question. In addition to being covered for life, the K-Vape is a really nice, all-around portable vaporizer. Featuring a large stainless steel heating chamber, convection heating technology and three preset temperature settings (360°, 380°, 420°F), the K-Vape is perfect for those looking for a durable, dependable unit at an affordable price.

The K-Vape is listed for $99 on pretty much every site we visited, but if you order it from our preferred retailer, the shipping is free.
