Vaporizer Review was in attendance for the 2014 Hempfest in Seattle. We had a fantastic time and wanted to say thanks to everyone for making it such a special event once again. Myrtle Edwards is a wonderful place and the perfect venue for the event to take place at. We got there bright and early on Saturday morning and could not believe how many people had made it out for the event. Usually in Seattle you would expect it to be raining but the weather was very enjoyable and made the event even more fun. When Hempfest first started is was not uncommon for police to give out citations or arrest people for blatantly ingesting marijuana in the public park. Now that marijuana has been legalized in Washington State the police for the most part let people have their fun as long as they are doing it in an appropriate fashion.

Smoking and Vaping at Hempfest

Once the Park opened for Hempfest on Saturday we made our way over to see Steve Levine speak at 11:30. As always he was pleasure to listen to and we even got to chat with him for a few seconds afterwards. There were too many people there for us to name them all but we also saw, Bruce Buckner, Diego Barriga, Dawn Darington, Alex Cooley, Doug Fine, Vivian McPeak and Ed Rosenthal just to name a few. My favorite part about Hempfest is the food, there is so much good food there and I wish I could have ate it all. Since the lines can get pretty long usually I get my food and then immediately jump right back into another line, that way by the time I am finished eating I am already back at the front of a different line. Stephanie ended up overeating and had to take a nap, we almost lost her but saw her snoring peacefully by the rocks at the end of the day.

Seattle Hempfest 2014

As Hempfest gets more and more popular it has become increasingly hard to find a hotel room for the event. We probably called 15 different places before we finally found a room we could book. We ended up staying right by the water and even though it was a bit expensive the view we had of the Puget Sound was worth every penny. If you have never been to Seattle before you should definitely make the trip, the weather in the Summer is unbelievable. On Sunday we got back to the park early but quickly realized our legs were tired from all the walking the day before. Chuck was complaining all day about his feet and Jack was eager to check out the new Ferris wheel so we left early on Sunday and did some sightseeing downtown. Next year we will definitely plan a little bit better and try and find our hotel rooms a lot soon. Hope to see you all next year at Seattle Hempfest 2015!
